Frequently asked questions
How can I request more tags?
You can purchase tags directly on our online store. For special requests or larger orders please email us directly at [email protected]
How are FoundTags better than traditional tags?
FoundTags are meant to make the return process as easy as possible for the person who comes across your lost item. The finder can send a message and the GPS location of your item with a simple scan, all without even exchanging contact information. Furthermore, you can incentivize the finder to do the right thing with a reward (monetary or otherwise). FoundTags will help you get your lost item back.
How can I register a FoundTag to my account?
Simply scan the QR code on your FoundTag with your smartphone camera and fill in input boxes that will appear with your item’s name and reward. If you have not signed up or logged in you will be asked to do so after registering the tag so that the tag can be added to your account.
Will the person who finds my item see my personal information?
Are FoundTags transferrable if I sell or give away my tagged item?
Yes, simply login and select “Remove Tag” under the item’s name in your Dashboard to unregister the tag from your account. Then the new item owner can scan and register the tag to their account just like they would a with a new tag.
